Charles Poncet High School
Description
What is called "high school" nowadays was in fact the National School of Clock-making, established in Cluses in 1848.
The main building, along Charles Poncet avenue (in the name of the former director) was built in 1885.
Pierre Margara sculpted the statue in the garden in 1998, representing a small piece of screw-cutting.
To learn more about the story of this school, its operations and its story, come and visite the Musée de l'Horlogerie et du Décolletage (Clock-making and Screw-cutting Museum) in Cluses.
