Ecole Primaire publique de la Vernaz

The school at La Vernaz is a small primary school with around 45 pupils in 2 classes: a PS-MS-GS-CP class and a CE1-CE2-CM1-CM2 class. It caters for pupils living in La Vernaz and La Baume.

The school offers an after-school service in the mornings from 7.30am to 8.20am and in the evenings from 4pm to 6.30pm, as well as a canteen service at lunchtime. A bus service is also available for pupils living in La Baume and La Vernaz who live in the hamlets of Le Jotty, Trélachaud, Le Gerdyl and Bioge. This is a dynamic school, which offers projects and school outings every year to arouse the pupils' curiosity and to illustrate in practical terms the subjects covered in class.
