Hopitaux du Mont-Blanc - Chamonix

The Chamonix emergency department is only open during the day, when tourism is at its peak in winter and summer (8am to 8pm). Outside these periods and at night, you will be referred to the Sallanches emergency department.

Our care is versatile (adults, children, psychiatry, etc.). However, this activity is strongly marked by a specificity in mountain traumatology (more than 84% of emergency activity on the Chamonix site) and altitude pathologies (frostbite, hypothermia, acute mountain sickness...). The order of referral depends on the severity of the case. The Chamonix site comprises 3 treatment rooms, 2 dechoquage rooms or vital emergency rooms and a medical imaging room. Outpatient consultations in sports medicine, pediatrics and traumatology are also available on the Chamonix site. Emergency opening times summer 2024: from July 13 to September 1, every day from 8am to 8pm.
