Lake Geneva Hospitals
Description
Hospital and maternity service of Thonon-les-Bains and Evian.
Since 1998, Hôpitaux du Léman has brought together the Evian and Thonon hospitals. They provide health care for the population of the Chablais region (110,000 inhabitants, a population that doubles during the summer and winter tourist seasons). Over 22,000 patients are hospitalized each year in these different care units or in one of the day hospitalization structures (307 beds). 102,000 people are seen in medical consultations. An emergency service in Thonon provides first aid 24 hours a day to more than 33,000 people facing unexpected and acute situations. Over 1,000 of these are transferred using one of the hospital's two mobile medical teams (SMUR).
